How Tall Was Brachiosaurus? Height, Weight and Long Neck
Brachiosaurus reached 9 meters tall and 35 tonnes, eating about 300 kg of plants every day.

Giraffe-like body and size
Brachiosaurus measured about 22 meters long and weighed around 35 tonnes, living in the Late Jurassic 154 to 150 million years ago. Its front legs were longer than its hind legs, giving a giraffe-like sloped back.
Its head reached about 9 meters high, while the nostrils sat on top of the skull. This giant needed 200 to 400 kilograms of plants daily, stripping leaves from tall conifers and cycads.
Long neck and feeding
The neck stretched over 8 meters and contained large air sacs that lightened the bones. Powerful muscles and flexible joints let Brachiosaurus sweep its head across treetops without moving its massive body.
Teeth were chisel-shaped for raking leaves, not chewing, so food fermented in a huge gut. Growth was fast, reaching adult size in about 20 years, and adults had few predators except giant theropods.
